"The young church proclaiming the old doctrines of grace."
Pioneer Valley Baptist Chapel’s beginnings stretch back to 1973 at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Two students, Earl Jackson and Steven Graham, met and became friends. Their friendship was rooted in their understanding of scripture, both, separately, and under different circumstances had come to see in the scriptures in the form of theology called Calvinistic or reformed.
Their friendship eventually led them to the establishment of Pioneer Valley Baptist Chapel in Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1975. They labored together in the early years until Pastor Jackson moved to Texas to pastor. The church continues under Pastor Guidara today. We are a gathered group of baptized believers who by God’s Grace worship and serve Jesus Christ our Saviour as grace enables us.
Our church is a Charter Member of the Reformed Baptist Network (RBNet) and holds to the London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689) as an expression of theological understanding taught by the scriptures. We are mission minded, supporting a variety of Mission works both at home and abroad. We are involved as a church in youth camp, Christian schooling, and other outreach and para-church ministries. We would love to have you come and visit us if traveling through New England. We are unique, we are serious about our faith. We are zealous for our God, and we would love to meet you and have you meet us.
